Antonio Mucherino's Books and Collections

Antonio Mucherino's HDR Monograph.

This HDR monograph is the summary of 10 years of research on distance geometry and applications, from my postdoc fellowship at École Polytecnique (Palaiseau, France) in 2008, to the year 2018.

Distance Geometry: Theory, Methods and Applications.

This is the first collection of research papers dedicated to distance geometry and its applications. Covered topics include distance matrix theory, Euclidean distance matrix completion, multispherical structure of distance matrices, geometric algebra, algebraic distance geometry theory, visualization of K-dimensional structures in the plane, graph rigidity, and theory of discretizable DGP. Methods developed in this research context are presented, and the application part of the book mainly focuses on the NMR structure determination problem arising in structural biology.

Data Mining in Agriculture.

This is a textbook describing the latest developments in data mining with applications to problems arising in agriculture. The book is for students, researchers and anyone interested in data mining techniques and/or agriculture. The entire book is written in a simple style, and many examples and exercises are provided for helping the reader understand the discussed topics. Many codes in MATLAB implementing some of the discussed data mining techniques are presented, and an entire application in C programming language for the implementation of a clustering technique is also provided.

Special issue on Optimization in Distance Geometry.

This is a special issue collecting original contributions following our DIMACS workshop at Rutgers University (USA), which was held on June 26-28, 2019. The issue (volume 83 number 1) collects 9 papers, and is 185 pages long.

Distances in optimization and graphs dedicated to the memory of Michel Deza.

This is a special issue collecting short original contributions from the research community that is close to Michel Deza's research. The issue (volume 14 number 2) collects 17 papers, and is composed by 238 pages.

Open Problems and Solutions: Rigidity and Distance Geometry.

This is a (virtual) special issue of DAM collecting contributions related to the Thematic Program on Geometric Constraint Systems, Framework Rigidity, and Distance Geometry held at Fields Institute (Toronto, Canada) from January to June 2021. We (editors of this special issue) have indeed taken part either to the general organization of the Thematic Program, or to the organization of some of the program events.

Distance Geometry and Applications.

This is another special issue of DAM devoted to the distance geometry problem and to its applications. The issue (number 197) collects 12 papers, and is composed by 144 pages.
